We are currently recruiting for a full-time Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join a small animal practice in Scunthorpe on a full-time permanent basis. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part within the team

The Practice:

As well as the in-house services in the branch, you will also get access to all the services available across the group which include CT Imaging, hydrotherapy, MRI, and Ultrasound.

This practice is based near Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire countryside just off major motorways allowing easy transport links to the Lincolnshire Wolds, Hull, Doncaster, Lincoln, and York. It is a bustling town with restaurants, cinemas, shopping parks, and many other activities.

For those who enjoy the country air and a long walk, Scunthorpe is a stone's throw away from the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds which is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the highest land between Kent and Yorkshire. In the Wold, there are many quaint market villages with plenty of independent shops and history to explore.

To the East, there is the popular seaside resort of Cleethorpes with many traditional seaside restaurants and activities, the boating lake, The Jungle Zoo, and Cleethorpes Light Railway.

The Role:

This would be a full-time role, working 39 hours per week. This role provides an excellent work-life balance as this role is 4 days per week, 1:6 full weekend or 1:3 Saturday only

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join this friendly practice. 

You should possess leadership qualities, excellent communication, and a passion for patient and client care. Strong management and mentor skills are essential as you will play a crucial part in the team. You will have at least 3-5 years of post-graduate experience and be comfortable in a sole charge role.

The Package:

In return for this, the practice is offering a fantastic salary of up to £55,000 p/a dependent on experience and benefits that include:

  • Accommodation allowance £5,400
  • Vehicle or vehicle allowance of £2,500
  • CPD allowance £1,500 plus 3 days CPD leave
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays
