Practice Type: This practice currently provides veterinary services for all of the dogs in the care of Charity rehoming centres in the West Midlands. They intend to establish a limited external client base in the future which will be a mix of their adopted dogs and those in the local community with pets such as dogs, cats, and small furries.
Facilities: This is a superbly equipped practice that has a theatre, prep room, 3 consult rooms, cat recovery ward, dog recovery ward, x-ray room with digital x-ray equipment), a dental room with digital x-ray equipment, a dedicated reception area, laundry/autoclave room, and a vet office.
Role: This role is for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon
Skills/Exp: They are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with over 10 years of in-practice experience who can support and develop the team as a whole. With the expansion of the client base, it is expected that they will require a third team (Veterinary Surgeon and RVN) to join the team to provide sufficient and flexible capacity.
Hours: They are currently operating a 30-hour per week over three days shift pattern (8 am-6 pm) and with two teams (one vet, one RVN per team) covering Monday to Friday – one team works Monday to Wednesday and the other Wednesday to Friday.
OOHS/Weekends: At present, there is no weekend shift and their OOH support is provided by an external provider
Package: They have a superb environment and culture to work within. The salary on offer is up to £60,000 p/a
