Permanent Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Crouch End

We are working with a successful practice that is looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Practice:

The surgery is near a large park, Alexandra Palace. It's based in a lovely part of London with a very villagey feel - lots of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep! They have fantastic clients and are active in the local community. You will be working alongside a Certificate Holder in Surgery within a well-equipped practice including both digital x-ray and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as a full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local hospital, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.

The Role and Candidate:

This role works to a 4-day week, 08:00-19:00 with 1:3 half weekends. As well as your day-to-day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered. As a qualified MRCVS, you'll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You'll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team. Sharing the values of being trustworthy, caring, and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

The Package:

A generous CPD allowance of £1500 with 3-days CPD leave is designed to drive your progress, balanced by 5 weeks annual holiday allowance (FTE). RCVS, VDS, and BVA membership is also offered. Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider corporate network.
