We are recruiting for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established mixed animal practice in Leek, Staffordshire. The practice is looking for a Vet with at least 2 years' experience and the mix will be 45% large 45% small 10% equine.
The Practice:
This is an independent mixed practice, who are proud of their traditional values and dedicated team of 10 full time and 2 part-time Vets. They are the only local Veterinary Surgery to offer their clients an in-house out of hours emergency service. Facilities and services include:-
- Modern and well-equipped surgical and diagnostic facilities
- Digital X-ray
- Endoscopy
- Ultrasound
- ECG
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Eye tonometry
- Dentistry
- In-house laboratory services
The Role and Candidate:
This is a permanent mixed Veterinary Surgeon role of 45% large 45% small 10% equine, where you will be working Monday-Friday 08:30-18:00 with 1:8 mid-week on call and 1:4-1:5 Saturdays 9.00-13.00 then on-call. There will be time off in lieu given for weekends and evenings worked to ensure a good work/life balance.
The role will have an interesting and varied workload with all the usual toys and gadgets, including ultrasound, both large and small, endoscope, and bull and ram fertility testing equipment.
You should have a least 2 years' experience and be confident working in a mixed animal practice. You will be joining a large team of experienced Vets, Nurses, and support staff, so good team skills are desirable.
