Permanent Mixed Veterinary Surgeon

We are currently working with a lovely independent practice in Derbyshire who is looking for a permanent Equine/Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team in Mid-March 2018. 

The Practice
Our client has three purpose built small animal surgeries and equine facilities with 7 knockdown boxes, that are fully equipped with the latest X-Ray, Ultrasound and theatres. They treat all species of animals, from dogs, cats, horses and small furries, even tortoises and terrapins. The split is roughly 60% Small animals and 40% Equine, however, treat all species of animals.

The Role: 
This is a full-time position working on average 40 hours per week over a 5 day week, on a Monday to Friday rota, with 1 in 3 nights on call for Equine only as Vets Now cover the small animal requirement. The weekend rota is 1 in 3 on call, Friday evening through to Monday morning with a half day in lieu. 

The position is first opinion and is mainly sole charge. 

The Candidate: 
The ideal candidate would be a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking veterinary surgeon who is a good communicator and happy to work as part of a small, experienced and established team. You must be a good communicator and ready to get stuck in. The practice is happy to support any skills and interests you wish to develop. 

In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary of £30,000+ dependent on experience, with a Car, Phone, housing allowance, CPD, VDS fees and 22 days holiday per week + bank holidays.
