We are working with a client with a well-established veterinary practice that is looking to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis. This role is to support the ten practices in the area, covering holidays and staff shortages.

The Practice:

Our client is a rapidly growing, small animal veterinary hospital based in Shrewsbury. They are dedicated and committed to not only investing in state of the art equipment to give patients access to the best possible facilities, but they are also dedicated to being able to offer the best possible care for all pets through their dedicated and experienced vets and nurses. This well-equipped, five vet and eight nurse practice has an outstanding reputation for delivering quality care. Shrewsbury is the perfect area for country walks in the gorgeous Shropshire Hills.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced mobile veterinary surgeon to work in their Shrewsbury branches.

This role is to support the ten practices in the area, covering holidays and staff shortages which includes a 24-hour hospital in Shrewsbury itself. Many of the branches are partner run clinics and will need somebody experienced in their absence to provide a high level of service and to work up cases to a high standard.

All of the branches are equipped with an in-house lab, ultrasound, x-ray, and operating facilities. More advanced operations can be referred to the local 24-hour hospital. 

This role is full time working 4 days per week with 1:6 full weekends.
