Permanent Nursing Manager - Worcester 

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated small animal practice based in Worcester, Worcestershire. that is looking for a full-time Nursing Manager to join their existing team.

The Practice:

Our client who specialises in family pets and small animals and is an accredited Veterinary Hospital and dedicated Veterinary Centre offers a one-stop-shop for family pets in Worcestershire – Open 7 days a week and with on-site out of hours and emergency care. This large practice cares for dogs, rabbits, and small pets, and excellent facilities including a CT scanner for pets. The practice is proud to be the vet practice of choice for Guide Dogs for the Blind and West Mercia Police in Worcester. The referral department offers a multi-disciplinary service for vets in CT imaging, Cardiology, General Surgery, Hydrotherapy, McTimoney Manipulation, and Ophthalmology.

The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent, Nursing Manager position, working Monday - Friday 08.00 - 19.00. No OOH or weekends, but would need to cover weekends if anyone in the nursing team was unable to swap between themselves due to illness, etc.

The Candidate:

This role would suit an experienced RVN who has the natural ability to lead a team and has strong administration skills. However, the role is adaptable depending on the experience and clinical interests of the individual.  You must be able to multitask, prioritise and organise very demanding workloads. You will be working alongside the nursing team to assist, develop and implement day to day procedures and to formulate and introduce revised and new procedures as appropriate. You will also be responsible for identifying, organising, and planning training with the nurses amongst other duties.
