Permanent Part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse – North Yorkshire

We are currently working with a well-established, independent mixed veterinary practice based in North Yorkshire. Their knowledgeable, friendly, dedicated and experienced amazing team of vets and nurses would like to recruit a permanent part-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them.

The Practice:

Our client has a mixed practice that cares for pets, horses, farm animals, and exotic pets whether at the surgery, at home, or on the farm the mix being SA 55%/Equine 5% and Large animal 40%. This practice has been providing veterinary care for local people since before the First World War and has been at the current location close to Northallerton for over 50 years. Through diligence, clinical excellence, and above all compassion, they have built a reputation for outstanding, comprehensive veterinary services available 24 hours a day across the district. Their team of 7 vets is superbly supported by 1 RVN, 1 SVN 2 VCAs plus an administrative team. The practice benefits from investment in specialised equipment and technology, including an in-house laboratory, digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, dog and cat wards plus they maintain excellent links with veterinary specialists for referral if required.

The Role:

This is a part-time permanent position working 30.5 days per week over 3 days between Monday - Friday. 1:4 Saturday & Sunday 8.00 – 12 noon – NO OOHs.

The Candidate:

This position would suit a competent, reliable veterinary nurse who is empathetic and caring has good communication skills, and enjoys working as part of a team. Our client would also consider a soon to qualify 3rd year SVN.

Salary: Competitive up to £24,000 pro-rata - DOE + CPD
