We are working with a charity practice in Croydon that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This is a full-time permanent role that would suit a candidate who will provide a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst promoting pet wellbeing, supporting Veterinary Surgeons to deliver preventive services and to treat sick and injured pets of eligible clients.
The Practice:
Our clients' hospital has a 4.5 vet team supported by a great team of RVNs, Veterinary Care Assistants and receptionists. You will have the opportunity to gain more experience in one year than most do in a career. They have a broad and varied caseload both medical and surgical as well as the facilities and equipment to manage cases effectively. Working with PDSA provides many opportunities for you to develop your professional skillset in a friendly and supportive environment.
The Role:
Working as part of a team that supports in theatre, provides inpatient care and carries out consults, admissions, and discharges, their Veterinary Nurses are also involved in dispensing medication, encouraging financial contributions from clients and maintaining the hygiene and cleanliness of the hospital and equipment.
This is a full-time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week.
The Candidate:
The successful candidate will be a Qualified RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, expected to keep your professional knowledge updated by taking part in continuous professional development and will be committed to the vision and mission of PDSA.
The Remuneration Package:
In return, our client is offering a package worth between £23,400-£27,000 p/a-including allowances (DOE) that include:
- CPD encouraged with generous funding
- 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays with the option to buy or sell and additional leave
- Part-time and job share working considered
- RCVS fees paid in full
- Competitive rates of pay
