We are working with a fantastic small animal practice in the Bromley area of South East London that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis. They will consider newly qualified nurses for this role, as support is provided by the practices experienced Head Nurse and vet team.

The Practice:

This practice boasts a prominent position and is very well established, having been running for more than 40 years. There is a strong, loyal, and friendly client base with the majority expecting and wanting gold standard care for their pets, something the team is very proud to be able to offer.

The practice is in a great location in South East London, situated in a prominent leafy location with good transport links into central London with buses and a mainline train station 2 minutes away. The clinic is well equipped with a top of the range ultrasound machine (with doppler), a Celtic class IV laser, dental x-ray, and an array of orthopaedic equipment. There is support from a continuous care hospital which is close by for inpatient care.

The 2.5 vet clinic has a fantastic nursing and support team with the previous owner also on hand to assist, offering acupuncture and complementary medicine.

The Role and Candidate

This position would interest someone who would like to gain valuable hospital and ECC experience, without the full-time commitment of working in a hospital.

There will be plenty of opportunities to run and promote a variety of nursing consults, including puppy parties. Duties will include general nursing, diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia monitoring, lab work, and some reception/administration. They will consider newly qualified nurses for this role, as support is provided by the practice's experienced Head Nurse and vet team.

An interest in supporting the practice's Student Nurses and Care Assistants is desirable and a driver's license is essential.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours a week over 5 days. You will also be part of a weekend rota, covering 1:4 full weekends at the main hospital practice. They would also open to part-time applicants.

The Package:

  • A competitive salary of up to £23,349 p/a (DOE)
  • Generous CPD allowance and in-house CPD available
  • Ongoing training is provided as relevant to your role
  • RCVS and VDS fees paid
  • 5 weeks paid annual leave
  • Exclusive company discounts and rewards
  • A friendly, supportive environment within a rewarding role
  • Ref: JN -102020-17161
