Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Ashford

We are working with a friendly close-knit veterinary practice in the Ashford area of Kent that is looking for a new or recently qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client knows that pets are important family members and they take pride in forming lasting relationships with them and their owners, within the community. Their friendly vets, nurses, and support team are dedicated to pet’s well-being and look forward to meeting new clients.

They understand the value of preventative healthcare for pets and offer a Pet Healthcare Plan as an easy way to budget and save money for all pet’s preventative healthcare needs throughout their life.

If pets become unwell or are injured out of hours, an emergency service based at their Veterinary Hospital and provided by Vets Now is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide the best medical and surgical treatments available to help them on the road to recovery.

They have all the usual equipment including Doppler ultrasound, digital x-ray including dental x-ray, monitoring equipment, and an in-house lab.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a great opportunity to become a key member of our clients' team of nurses, 7 RVN and 1 SVN, that is committed to providing a high standard of clinical care at this RCVS Accredited Hospital.

They have a team of 7 vets with a variety of theatre, inpatient care, nurse consults, and laboratory work required.

This is a permanent full-time position where you will be working 40 hours per week with 8-hour day shifts to cover the working day from 7.45 am until 7.30 pm. There are no OOH requirements and with only a shared Saturday rota of 2 in 9 this role supports a great work/life balance.

The Package:

In return for all your hard work and dedication, our client is offering a competitive package that includes:

  • Competitive salary - depending on experience
  • 5 weeks holiday and an additional day to celebrate your birthday
  • Nursing clinics are encouraged and CPD/Professional fees are funded
