Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Barnet, Hertfordshire

Our client is a busy 24 Hour RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital based in Barnet, Hertfordshire that is looking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis. You will be working in all areas of the hospital from theatre, anaesthesia, diagnostics, wards inpatient care, and dispensary; with a wide variety of cases and lots of hands-on nursing.

The Practice:

Our client is a friendly and professional practice with a high caseload and an experienced dynamic team. They provide the highest level of care with the facilities of a fully equipped hospital with laparoscopy, endoscopy, digital x-ray, and dental x-ray, in-house lab, isolation, and separate dog and cat ward. They offer services such as consultations seeing up to 4 clients each hour, vaccinations, micro-chipping, going abroad services, physiotherapy, clinics, puppy parties, and weight clinic. They are also an ISFM GOLD cat-friendly practice and a rabbit friendly practice

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is currently looking for a permanent full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, want to use their nursing skills to their full potential, and are keen to develop their knowledge and skills. You will be working in all areas of the hospital from theatre, anaesthesia, diagnostics, wards inpatient care, and dispensary; with a wide variety of cases and lots of hands-on nursing. Full-time RVNs work a variety of shifts on a rota basis. Four day weeks, approximately 1 in 3-4 weekends, with time off in lieu and 4-night shifts every 12 weeks.

The ideal candidate must be RCVS Registered and ideally have experience working in a hospital or similar environment. However, the role is suitable for anyone looking to develop their nursing skills. Full training will be given in all areas. Clinical coach training would be beneficial or be willing to complete.

The Package:

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary dependent of between £25,000-£30,000 p/a on experience and benefits that include; CPD funded and encouraged RCVS, and VDS fees paid for.
