Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Boston
We are working with a well-established independent small animal veterinary practice in Boston, Lincolnshire that are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. Full-time or 2 part-timers as a job share.
The Practice:
The practice is a well established, independent Veterinary Surgery that offers a range of animal care services for small animals. The practice has been established for over 40 years and offers exceptional care to your pets. Whether your pet requires routine surgery, complex orthopaedics or emergency care, you can rely on them to be there for your care.
Onsite facilities include digital X-ray, ultrasound scanner, In-house laboratory, fully equipped dental suite and excellent surgical equipment.
The Role and Candidate:
This is a permanent full-time role, although two part-timers would be considered as a job share. The role will cover 40 hours per week, working weekday shifts of 7 am- 3 pm or 11 am - 7 pm alternate 2 early 3 late/ 3 early 2 late. Some on-call and out-of-hours work required as they provide their own in-house emergency service for their clients. This would be a maximum of one night a week and 1 in 8 weekends on call. The vet takes the out of hours phone calls and then calls in the nurse when needed. The applicant would need to live within 30 minutes drive of the practice to enable this.
You will joining a great team of experienced vets and nurses, so you will work well as part of a team. You will be looking after the practices many loyal clients in a friendly and caring way. You must be a qualified nurse that is registered with the RCVS. Due to location you will need your own transport to travel to work.
