Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Cheltenham

Practice: This independent practice's ethos is centred around the excellent client and patient care and the understanding that a pet is a part of the family. They are part of a 4 branch small animal veterinary clinic based in and around Tewkesbury and Cheltenham.

Facilities and Team:They have the modern facilities and diagnostic tools to provide top-class first opinion veterinary care, as well as an excellent, experienced team of Vets and qualified veterinary nurses. All are supported by a first-rate reception, administration, and management team.

Role and Responsibilities:Their Cheltenham branch is a satellite clinic functioning with an experienced team who are also keenly interested in working through medical cases. You will be part of the support team of three based within the clinic and supported by a larger team of nurses based within the other clinics. Your duties will include:

  • Nurse consults,

  • Vet support in consults and theatre

  • General nursing duties

  • Some reception duties.

Hours: Covering 40 hours per week with usually 8-hour days between 8.00 am and 7.00 pm, on a 1:4 Saturday rota working 8.00 am – 5.00 pm.

Skills/ Exp: You will ideally be confident in anesthesia monitoring as well as an all-around nurse, and in return, they can offer you a fantastic team with an ethos of support and honoring clinical motivations. You will ideally be a qualified nurse, but a nurse who is about to qualify may be

considered if they are confident/experienced as there will be a sole nurse (alongside a vet) at the start/end of the day in the branch.

Salary: Competitive Salary of up to £25,000 p/a (dependent on experience)
