Location: Clacton-on-Sea, Essex
Practice Type: A proudly independent, client-focused practice set on the coast of Essex, and less than five minutes walk from the beach, they also have a second consult-only practice. They are an hour's drive from London Stanstead airport and London and 30 minutes from Harwich port.
Services/Facilities: Their facilities have been designed with their clients pets in mind:
- Two waiting rooms enable them to separate quieter patients from the more boisterous visitors.
- Modern and fully equipped operating theatre.
- A full range of internal and external diagnostic facilities including blood testing, ECG heart recording, endoscopy, ultrasonography, light microscopy, an x-ray suite, air driven dental machine, an ear irrigation system, a multi-parameter anaesthesia monitor, and a Tonometer.
- Separate cat and dog wards.
- Isolation facilities.
Role: They are looking for a Registered Veterinary to join their hospital.
Duties: Their nurses rotate between wards, theatre, and prep room, in order to use and develop your nursing skills. There is occasionally some reception cover and consulting cover for holidays but with a large team this is not necessary.
Hours:
- The basic working hours are 38 hours per week
- This consists of four 8.30 – 19.00 shifts per week (weekdays), with a set day off each week with one hour for lunch.
- They will consider part-time candidates too.
Weekends/OOHS: The role also includes being part of the Saturday rota, which involves one in four Saturday mornings 8.30 am to 12 noon, Saturday hours are outside the 38-hour rota and will be paid at their usual hourly rate. They use Vets Now so there are no night duties.
Salary: From £28,000 up to £32,000 (full-time) based on experience. (this will be reviewed annually)
