Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Glasgow

Type: Small Animal practice

Location: Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides

The Practice: Part of a group

  • They are an established team of 6 experienced Vets, 2 RVNs, 3 Client Care Advisors, a Client Service Manager, and their Practice Manager
  • The practice is fully equipped with separate dog and cat waiting areas, 3 consultation rooms, a prep area, a theatre, separate cat and dog wards, isolation facilities, a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, and ultrasound.
  • The practice has lots of free parking available and is wheelchair accessible. They also have a loop for those clients with hearing difficulties.
  • It is a welcoming and well-organised practice with a clean, well-managed space.
  • They are open 6 days a week offering evening appointments to work around your busy schedules. 

The Role: Our client is looking for a qualified RVN to join their supportive, friendly team. If you're a passionate RVN with a desire to work in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment, this practice would love to hear from you!

Duties:

  • The role involves working alongside two other RVNs, rotating through theatre, inpatient care, and nurse consult duties.
  • As a training practice, there will also be opportunities to mentor student nurses.
  • A receptionist team supports the clinical staff, allowing you to focus on nursing. 
  • The practice operates a well-managed diary, allowing adequate time for appointments and surgeries, and has a lunch break where staff can connect.

Hours:

  • They offer a flexible work pattern, including both full and part-time options, and are committed to developing staff skills.
  • Saturdays on a 1-in-4 rota.
  • No Sundays or out-of-hours shifts

Salary: The role comes with a competitive salary of up to £31,000 p/a (FTE) Reflective of skills and experience.
