Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Havant, Hampshire

Type: Small Animal

Location: Havant, Hampshire

PracticeType: Part of a group

Facilities: Their practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, separate digital dental X-ray, and in-house laboratory facilities. They have access to an endoscope, conduct orthopaedic surgery and support exotic patients.

Role: Have you just qualified or looking for a new adventure? Our client has an exciting opportunity for an RVN to join their team.

Hours:

  • Their ideal candidate would be 35-40 hours, but they are flexible enough to look at part-time for the right candidate.

  • A 40hr week would be 1 in 4 Saturdays (8.5hrs) and 4x 9-hour weekday shifts, with only one of those being a 7.30 pm close

  • Their team has found working a 4-day week and closing Sundays hugely beneficial to their work/life balance.

Skills/Exp: They encourage their team members to follow their passions, and believe RVNs should use their training. Their RVNs conduct anaesthetics, clinics, radiography, descale and polish, dental radiography, collect blood samples, place cannulas, oversee all inpatient care, and are encouraged to pursue Schedule 3 procedures, with little to no reception work. They have brilliant care assistants who support their RVNs and help with the day-to-day running of the practice.

Salary: They are offering a competitive salary of between £26,000 - £30,000 pro-rata depending on experience

Benefits:

  • Good Work/Life balance

  • A paid day’s leave for your birthday

  • Generous CPD budget and encouragement to pursue your passions.

  • Life insurance of 4 times your annual salary.

  • Discounted vet treatment for you, and your family.

  • And the usual: Annual leave, Pension Scheme, and RCVS & VDS fees paid.
