Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - Leicester
We are working with a small animal practice in central Leicester that is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a full-time, permanent basis. They are looking for an enthusiastic RVN to join their friendly and welcoming team.
The Practice:
With an expanding caseload, our client has a variety of cases and holds regular clinical meetings - with Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine as one of their core values. They are currently working towards Practice Standards Scheme accreditation and hold ISFM Silver Cat-Friendly Clinic Status and Platinum Compassion Understood accreditation. They have a full orthopaedic kit, ultrasound, radiography, and IDEXX lab equipment, separate dog and cat wards, and a separate theatre. They are an established practice with a lovely team of 1 Vet, 2 RVNs, 2 student nurses, 4 CCAs, 1 VCA, and 1 Practice Manager.
The Role and Candidate:
- Hours: This is a full-time position, where you will be working 40 hours a week (spread across 5 days, varying between 8.30 am - 7 pm) with a shared weekend rota of just 1 in 3 Saturdays (9 am - 4 pm). There is no OOH required with this role.
- Skills/Exp: To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.
- Duties: They have a varied and interesting caseload, offering you the opportunity to develop your experience and use your nursing skills to their full potential, doing nurse consults, 2nd vacs, post-op checks, bandage changes, weight clinics, etc.
