We are working with a well-established veterinary practice in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent basis. This is a part-time role working two-night shifts per month (13 hours per shift) and weekend shifts as agreed.
The Practice:
Our client is one of an elite group of Practices around the world to celebrate over 100 years of Veterinary care. Once a large animal practice, the Practice has evolved to become exclusively a small animal practice in 1997. Today the original surgery in Huntingdon has expanded to become a 24hr small animal hospital and now provides care to pets all over Huntingdonshire with branch surgeries in St Ives, St Neots, Ramsey, Cambourne, and Sawtry. Our client was one of the first in the country to become accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons as a Small Animal Veterinary Hospital. During the week we have 2 Vets performing booked procedures (such as neutering, dentals, x-rays, and lump removals) and one Vet looking after all the in-patients and providing care to any emergency cases. They also have a resident specialist specialising in Dermatology. Our client has two state-of-the-art operating suites, a dedicated dental station, equipped with modern dental instruments including an ultrasonic de-scaler, polisher, and drill unit. The hospital is very well equipped with a wide range of diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, endoscopes, ECG and blood pressure monitoring equipment, and top of the range digital x-ray machine. Our client also benefits from an onsite pharmacy and laboratory which houses the latest and most reliable diagnostic machines.
The Role:
This is a part-time permanent role where you will be working two-night shifts per month (13 hours per shift) and weekends as agreed.
