Facilities: They are a modern hospital having only been built in 2015. They are equipped with full lab facilities, a DR x-ray system, dental x-ray, 64-slice CT scanner, a wide range of flexible and rigid endoscopes, ultrasound scanner with colour Doppler, full orthopaedic kit, slit lamp, tonometer.
Team: The team consists of 12 vets,12 registered veterinary nurses, 7 student nurses, and 5 animal nursing assistants. Among the vets a Specialist in Zoo & Wildlife Medicine, Advanced Practitioners in Small Animal Medicine, and ECC. Plus, they have regular visits from a specialist surgeon and referral dermatologist.
Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the friendly team.
- Duties will include:
- Assisting on-call RVN with nursing inpatients
- Dealing with emergencies
- The continual smooth running of the hospital.
- Assisting vets with consultations
- Running samples in our in-house laboratory
Hours: 2 days (Saturday and Sunday) every other week. No out-of-hours are required. 10 hours during the week alongside every other weekend will also be considered.
Applicant Requirements: We are looking for a qualified registered RVN with a good level of experience who would love to be part of a closely bonded hard-working team in a busy clinical environment. Must be a natural team player and happy to support colleagues at all levels. Experience with exotics would be beneficial but not essential.
Salary: Up to £29,000 DOE (FTE)
