Permanent Registered Veterinary Nuse - Crouch End

We are working with a successful practice that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. Joining our clients' professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

The Practice:

The surgery is near a large park, Alexandra Palace. It's based in a lovely part of London with a very villagey feel - lots of coffee shops, pubs and restaurants on the doorstep! They have fantastic clients and are active in the local community. You will be working alongside a Certificate Holder in Surgery within a well-equipped practice including both digital x-ray and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as a full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local hospital, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a permanent full-time role where you will be working 40 hours with a mix of early and late shifts and 1:4 weekends. You will also be included on the bank holiday and on-call rota, this is a fair share across all nurses in the region to provide additional support to our night team, if required.

Key accountabilities:

As well as your day-to-day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing, and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that they can further develop their standards.

As an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively. Sharing our clients' values of being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

The Package:

Our client is offering a competitive salary of circa £25,000 per annum (DOE) plus £300 CPD allowance plus 2-days CPD leave, RCVS and BVNA membership, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.
