Permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse - South Lincolnshire
We are currently working with a well rated RCVS accredited practice based in South Lincolnshire [ideally located close to Stamford, Peterborough and 1 hour to Cambridge/Lincoln/Leicester] that is looking to recruit a qualified registered veterinary nurse to join their team.
Excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated RVN looking to join a popular, 2 centre for small animal and exotic practice. The desire to provide an excellent level of customer and patient care is paramount. They have recently achieved ‘Outstanding’ in all 5 eligible categories in the Practice Standards Scheme. They are fully equipped with excellent facilities and equipment, set in spacious premises, and are ideally located close to Stamford, Peterborough, and just 1 hour to Cambridge/Lincoln/Leicester.
Their fantastic, supportive team comprises 12 Vets, 18 nurses (14 RVNs, 4 SVNs), and 12 Support Staff. They have a very loyal client base, 20-minute appointments (including nurse clinics all day every day) with a focus on client education and preventative health care.
The role is varied as every shift is different depending on the patients in the hospital. They treat Cats, Dogs, and most exotic species. Their RVNs are rostered in a variety of roles from nurse clinics, inpatient care, exotics, helping with consults, operations, lab work, etc each with their own area of responsibility. Shift days and hours are detailed below.
- 4 days per week
- 1 in 3 weekends (Saturday or Sunday)
- 1 late shift (9:30pm) every 2 weeks.
They are looking for an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse with previous experience gained in a similar small animal/exotic practice setting or an experienced 2nd year SVN nearing the completion of their course. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work well within a team, and a strong work ethic are essential.
