We are working with a small animal veterinary practice in Bath that is looking for a Small Animal Medicine Clinician with experience to work-up complex medicine cases including referrals from within the group. This is a permanent full-time role that includes on-call weekdays and weekends.

The Practice. 

This practice is now one of the best-equipped veterinary hospitals in the South West and has some of the most experienced veterinary surgeons in the region. Our client's hospital is equipped to the highest standard and is accredited under the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Accreditation Scheme. Many of their surgeons hold Certificates from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in either medicine or surgery. The team has expertise in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, endoscopy/laparoscopy, medical and surgical oncology, ophthalmology, neurology, cardiology, on-site MRI, fracture repair, physiotherapy, and hydrotherapy. In addition to modern facilities and high clinical standards, they also aim to provide their patients and clients with a service that is convenient and helps make pet-care possible and enjoyable as part of a busy lifestyle.

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for a Small Animal Medicine Clinician with experience to work-up complex medicine cases including referrals from within the group and external practices. Experience in a range of diagnostic imaging modalities will be an advantage, but training will be provided where necessary.

The role involves 3 to 4 days per week, on-call approx 1 in 7 weekends and weekday nights.

The successful candidate will be a specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine or an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine. Small Animal Medicine certificate holders close to becoming eligible to register as Advanced Practitioners are welcome to apply. An opportunity to lead the referral medicine team may be available for the right candidate.
