We are currently recruiting on behalf of a lovely independent veterinary practice based in a picturesque area of rural Worcestershire. The practice requires a permanent registered veterinary nurse to join their team.
The Practice:
The practice was established in 1953 and has a great reputation and client base in the area. They are a mixed practice dealing with approximately 80% small animal, 10% equine and 10% farm. The practice offers a wide range of services in their state-of-the-art surgery including Orthopaedic Surgery, Cardiology, Neutering, Animal Behaviour and many more.
The Role:
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours per week with shifts on a rota basis between 9:30 am and 7:30 pm, with 1 night per week on-call. The weekend rota is 1:5, with Saturday morning in surgery between 8:30 am and 1 pm, and then remaining on call for the rest of the weekend with the duty vet. Accommodation is available for nights on call and weekends, or on a temporary basis for candidates who are relocating for the role.
The Candidate:
The practice will consider applicants of all experience levels but would prefer the RVN to have some experience of working in practice. The team consists of 5 RVNs, 3 full-time vets and 2 part-time, an animal nursing assistant and an SVN. The candidate will fit in well with the existing friendly and dedicated team.
In return, the practice can offer a salary of between £18 and £20,000, depending on experience, and is negotiable upwards for a very experienced candidate. They fund CPD and cover RCVS and BVNA fees, they run a generous pension scheme and allow 20 days holiday, increasing by 1 day for every year of service up to 25, and a bonus day off for your birthday!
