We are currently recruiting on behalf of an independent practice located close to Preston, Lancashire. They are seeking a Large Animal Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis to join their growing Large Animal Practice.
The Practice:
The Practice has been established and independent for over 40 years and are looking for a new member to join the team. This vacancy would suit a candidate with a dairy focus. The position also involves minimal TB testing.
Further education is encouraged and supported, many of the team already hold DBR and Cattle certificates. We are a practice that keeps up to date and moves with the times utilising Interherd Plus, Totalvet, Dietcheck nutrition software and now laparoscopic LDA repair.
With 22 vets in total across the divisions, the practice is buzzing with plenty of opportunities to socialise outside of work!
The Role:
This is a permanent full-time vacancy with working hours between 8.30 am to 5.30 pm Mon to Fri with 2:10 weekends and out of hours rota. Duties consist of general consultations which is mainly dairy work. The practice offers a great opportunity for a new grad or an experienced veterinary surgeon to join a supportive, growing team and progress their careers, skills and knowledge.
In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary, dependant on experience.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate would have 2+ years’ experience or be a new grad and have an interest in treating large animals. They would be an excellent communicator, can be adaptive, get on with people and be a forward thinker. They should also like a busy, fast-paced, challenging environment.
