We are working with a modern busy small animal practice in Maidstone, Kent that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full or part-time basis. They are looking for a vet that is confident with all routine surgical and medical cases, which is also personable and approachable.
The Practice:
This practice is conveniently located close to the town centre with easy access to the beautiful surrounding countryside and beaches. They are also within easy reach of both Gatwick and Heathrow airports and the Eurostar.
You will be joining a talented and friendly team made up of 3 Vets, 1 Senior Veterinary Nurse, 3 qualified Nurses including Head Nurse, 3 Veterinary Care Assistants, 4 Client Care Assistants, a Client Care Manager, and a Practice Manager. They hold a variety of interests within the team and one of their Vets is studying towards a Certificate in Medicine. They are hugely supportive of CPD and ongoing personal and professional development and are happy to support the study towards certificate level. A particular interest in surgery would be wonderful but not essential!
They see a wide variety of cases in the practice and carry out all routine surgery as well as soft tissue and some basic orthopaedics. The practice has all of the usual toys including digital X-ray and ultrasound, and they will certainly consider the purchase of further specialist equipment should it benefit the team and practice.
The Role and Candidate
Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon that is confident with all routine surgical and medical cases but perhaps most importantly, you will be a personable and approachable Vet who enjoys building relationships with lovely patients, clients and the wider team.
This is a permanent position and they will consider full or part-time hours (min. 20 hours per week)
with a weekend rota of 1 in 3. There is some sole charge responsibility, mainly at weekends, and with no OOHs responsibility, they ensure both a great work/life balance.
