We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK's leading veterinary hospitals based in the Rutland area of Leicestershire who is looking to recruit three small animal Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

This well-established independent Veterinary Hospital is set in a wonderful rural location in Leicestershire. Their premises are purpose-built and set in 8.5 acres surrounded by rural countryside. They are proud to have Tier 3 hospital status, accredited by the RCVS, and offer extensive hospital facilities and diagnostic equipment both in their equine and small animal department. They also have a clinical association with the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science giving them access to the expertise from leading veterinary specialists as well as the latest equipment and technology.

The Role:

Our client is looking for three Veterinary Surgeons to join them on a full-time permanent basis. You will be working 40 hours/week, 4 day week; alternatively, part-time vets would be considered. They are currently reviewing how they provide OOH service to clients and are preparing a business case for having a full, dedicated night team (currently only have night nurses), to remove OOH from the day team, so it is a little uncertain at the moment, going forward, as to whether there will be an OOH element in the roles. Should they get the go-ahead for a night team, then all day vets will be required to provide cover at the weekend – they will be extending the practice times/hours to include Saturday and Sunday, on a rota basis – this would apply to both full and part-time vets (they are currently open for consults on Saturday morning, 9.00 am-12 noon, and have a vet who does these consults, with the duty vet dealing with emergency consults).

The Candidate:

You will be an experienced veterinary surgeon that is a dynamic team player who possesses the ambition and enthusiasm to contribute to the excellent reputation of the practice.

The Package:

In return, our client offers a competitive salary (reflective of experience) and an excellent benefits package, which will be discussed in the interview.
