We are currently working with an RCVS accredited practice based in the beautiful county of Oxfordshire. The practice is currently looking to recruit an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Practice:
Our client is an RCVS accredited veterinary hospital with a branch practice and has a dedicated team of 9 vets and 9 RVNs plus a support team They provide 24-hour emergency cover & staff training. They have excellent facilities including x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ECG, fluid therapy, blood sampling in their on-site laboratory, and 24-hour nursing care.
The Role and Candidate:
This is a full-time permanent position, working 4 days a week, 8:30 -17:00, 18:00, or 19:00 on a rota basis. The shift pattern includes 1 in 6 nights & weekends for inpatient checks with time off in lieu & 1:6 Saturday 8.30 - 13.00. Some sole charge at the weekend and NO OOHs.
This position would suit a confident small animal veterinary surgeon who is competent with all routine surgery including C-section and GDVs. The successful candidate will be able to empathise with their clients and demonstrate great care and consideration to their pets. They have great communication skills. Be friendly and hard working.
The Package:
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of between £37,000 - £40,000 p/a dependent on skills & experience with a benefits package that includes:
- CPD [£1250 - 5 days],
- CVS, VDS,
- 5 weeks holidays plus bank holidays,
- Staff discounts after 6 months probation
- Plus accommodation can be initially supplied [5 bedroomed hours] to help if relocating.
