We are currently recruiting on behalf of a mixed veterinary practice based in the Hexham area who are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team. This permanent position can be either full or part-time and will include being part of the emergency team rota.

The Practice:

Our client is a successful independent practice that is now seeking that special person to join their brilliant team of 5 small animal vets and a superb supporting cast of RVNs, VNAs, receptionists, and admin staff. Their newly refurbished, 24-hour-staffed, hospital-style centre offers the opportunity to enjoy a mix of consulting, medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Work up and treat your own cases with an in-house lab, radiography, dental radiography, endoscopy, and a superb new ultrasound scanner. They have a branch surgery which enjoys a uniquely friendly and traditional style of practice but with modern in-house surgical facilities and easy access to the main practice for referrals. 

The Role and Candidate:

This permanent role can be either full or part-time and because they look after their own clients out of hours, you get to be part of the emergency team rota – the support team handles the calls, reception, consults, theatre, and wards – all you have to do is turn up and be the vet who saves the day – it’s incredibly rewarding and invaluable exposure to exciting emergency care. And if large animals interest you, but only from a distance, you can see the equine team in action next door and the farm team down the path - watching but without the responsibility!!

The Package:
