We are working with a small group of practices in the East Grinstead area that are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team on a permanent basis. Ideally, they are looking for a full-time vet however part-time applications would be welcomed.

The Practice: 

At this practice, they aim to practice the very highest standard of medicine and surgery. They undertake a wide variety of clinical procedures to help them make a diagnosis and then treat any problems that are found. They are a small animal practice based in East Grinstead, West Sussex with two smaller satellite branches in the local area, with nurses sometimes required to travel to branches on days they operate. Their OOH is outsourced to another practice with the phone lines being diverted at 19:00.

They have a friendly team of 7 vets and 9 nurses with a wide range of interests resulting in a fair amount of orthopaedic cases along with frequent use of endoscopy and ultrasonography. They also have an internal lab covering biochemistry and haematology. They are a registered training practice with 3 students and encourage nurses to become clinical coaches if interested.

The Role and Candidate: 

Our client is looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their fantastic team on a permanent basis, however, they would also welcome applications from part-time candidates. The full-time role will consist of 4 days a week, plus a share of the weekend rota and inpatient duties, with no out of hours. The role will include an equal share of both consultations and surgery and any particular interests are actively encouraged and supported.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a medical bias, you must be a team player with good client communication capability and enjoy a varied caseload. CPD is always encouraged in order to develop new skills.
