We are working with a practice based in the lovely market town of Newbury, Berkshire that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full or part-time permanent basis.
The Practice:
Based in the heart of the community, just off of the A34 and M4, our clients’ team pride themselves on delivering excellent client care and pet welfare standards. They see a varied caseload with some interesting case workups. They have a high number of insured clients. The surgery is spacious with separate cat and dog wards plus an isolation ward which is often used for their small furries. It is purpose built to industry leading standards with state of the art equipment including ultrasound, digital x-ray, capnography, doppler BP (omit measure), access to video endoscope, blood machines including electrolytes in addition to our idexx courier service.
The Role:
This is a permanent position for a full or part-time Veterinary Surgeon. The role is full or part time (30-40 hours per week) and includes weekends on a 1 in 4 rota, predominantly sole charge so you must be comfortable with this. There will also be occasional in-patient care supervision required far any case kept in overnight.
The Candidate:
Our clients’ are looking for a Vet with experience and who is confident with all routine surgery and medical cases. This is a fantastic opportunity if you have an interest in orthopaedics as this is an area of the business they are really keen to develop, although this is not essential. Further training /certificates will be fully supported.
