We are working with an independent, family-run veterinary practice based in Leeds, West Yorkshire that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. They pride themselves on being a local, independent practice, providing modern medicine with traditional values.
The Practice:
This practice is well-established and aims to provide a friendly service with the best care for their patients and clients. They are proud to be registered to train Veterinary Nurses and they have been accredited by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons so you can rest assured that our facilities meet the highest standards.
Their team of Vets has over 40 years of experience between them and are all pet owners themselves.
Their nurses run clinics providing friendly support and advice on a range of problems. These include weight clinics, flea and worm advice, geriatric clinics, and general health checks. They can also give advice on nutrition and dental care.
Their facilities include - endoscopy, digital radiography, Doppler ultrasonography, and a good range of surgical kits. Dermatology, medicine, cardiology, and many surgical cases can be referred to in-house, which provides continuity for their clients and an excellent learning environment and career progression for their vets.
The Role and Candidate:
This is a full-time permanent role where you will be working a 4.5 day week, with a weekend rota of 1 in 5 Saturdays 8.40-15.30 (for which you will receive a 1/2 day off the following Friday).
You will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon that is enthusiastic and professional, that will work well as part of a team (the vet team is currently 5.5). Experience is preferred, however, applications from recent graduates would also be considered. You will have excellent communication skills both with clients and colleagues alike.
