We have an exciting opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon with an exotic bias to join a busy veterinary practice based in Brighton, East Sussex. The role is full-time and permanent.
The Practice:
The practice has several clinics in the local area with the main hospital site providing 24-hour care. You will be joining a friendly team of 21 Vets and 35 Nurses employed across the clinics. They have in-house support in many areas including dermatology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and exotics, with many vets working on their surgical and medical certificates. Practice facilities include:-
- Specialist feline-only consulting rooms
- Exotic wards
- Hydrotherapy pool
- State of the art in-house laboratory
- High spec ultrasound
- Digital X-ray including dental radiography
- Endoscopy
The Role:
This is an ideal opportunity for a Vet with an exotic bias looking for an interesting caseload within a supportive team. The role includes responsibility for first opinion work for all small animals but with a significant proportion of exotic work, including referral. This role would suit a Vet who either holds or who is interested in working towards an exotic certificate. This is a full-time role working 45 hours over 4 days per week with shifts of 08.00-18.00 or 09.00-19.00. Weekends are on a rota of 1 in 4 full weekends and 1 in 4 Saturdays, so effectively 1 in 2 weekends will be worked. In return, our client is offering:
