We are working with a growing well organised first opinion small animal practice in Leigh, Greater Manchester that is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly team. This permanent full-time position would suit an experienced vet that is comfortable in a sole charge role.
The Practice:
Our client is a growing, well organised first opinion practice with a varied caseload that has an experienced, supportive team who aim to provide the best care for patients and best client experience from phone call to consult.
Their team currently consist of full-time Veterinary Surgeon (currently enrolled in an ophthalmology certificate), 2 Registered Vet Nurses (1 has an exotic certificate) 1 Student Vet Nurse, a Practice Manager (who works hard to allow you to be a vet and support the whole team) and 2 Client Care Advisors.
They pride themselves on creating an environment that allows colleagues to have clinical freedom, develop their own areas of interests and maintain a supportive, no-blame culture. They welcome new ideas and are continuously updating practice protocols. Fully funded certificates and partnership opportunities are a real possibility for the right candidate.
Our bright, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound, blood machines, and tonometry. They run 20 minute consults as standard and have a separate cat consulting room. They are RCVS accredited, hold the ISFM silver cat-friendly award and are working towards RWAF accreditation
The Role and Candidate:
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon, with a growth mindset and capability to work sole charge. You will be an all-round Small Animal Vet who is confident in routine surgical and clinical procedures.
This role would ideally be full-time, where you will be working 40 hours per week including 1 in 3 weekends. The shift length will vary but there will be at least one sole charge 10-hour shift, however, they can be flexible with other shifts to suit, and are willing to negotiate for the perfect applicant! There is no OOH requirement and no patients kept here overnight!
