Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Andover

Location: Andover, Hampshire

Practice Type: Part of a group - As an in-store practice, they are lucky to work with plenty of small mammals as well as dogs and cats.

Facilities: They have a modern, well-equipped practice, including a lab, pharmacy, digital x-ray, endoscope, and ultrasound. Great client base and an excellent medical and surgical caseload.

Team Info: They have a friendly and welcoming team of 21 – We have 4 vets, 5 RVNS, 2 SVNS, 1 VCA, 5 Receptionists, a Practice Administrator, and a Practice Manager.

The Role: An opportunity has arisen at our client's small animal practice in Andover for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and welcoming team 

Hours:

  • This is a part-time or full-time position working up to 40 hours per week

  • Including 1:4 Saturday shifts, they are closed on Sundays!

  • Shifts are generally 10hrs long and run between 9 am and 7 pm, but could be flexible for the right candidate.

Skills/Exp: 

  • The successful applicant will be committed to delivering a high level of client care whilst demonstrating outstanding communication, leadership, and organisational skills and have a flexible approach.   

  • You will have the opportunity to work up cases and have a share of routine and non-routine consultations, as well as frequent surgeries.

  • Ideally, you will have at least one year of experience and be happy to work occasional sole charge, with an eagerness to learn and work well within a team who are always on hand to support one another.
