Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bristol
Role: Veterinary Surgeon
Type: Small Animal
Practice Type: Although this practice is part of a group they run their own practices as an individually owned practice leaving them far more flexibility to run things as they see fit. This has helped give the clients the feel of the independent practice which is so missed in today's world bombarded by corporates.
Team Info: Currently they are very lucky to have two experienced vets, one of whom has a cert in cardiology and also has a strong interest in surgery. Their other vet also has a strong interest in surgery but both are just warm, welcoming, and fantastic people to work with. They have a very experienced nursing team, reception team, animal care assistant, and are a 2-3 vet practice.
Practice Facilities: This practice has its own in-house lab machines, digital x-ray, scanner, etc.
Role: The rota is 4 days per week either working 830-6 or 1030-8 with a set day off every week. The weekend rota is 1:4 but very short hours, so on Saturday you work 9-530 and on Sunday you work 1030-430. They give time back for having worked the weekends so in total the vet/s would be contracted to 37.5 hours per week. A job share would also be considered
Candidate: Their ideal applicants would have a more medicine/consulting bias (consulting only can also be considered).
Weekends: One in four
Branch work: None
Vehicle required: None
Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience
Benefits: Will discussed in the interview
