Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Bromley

We are working with a well-established practice that has been a part of the community in the Bromley area for more than 20 years. They are looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client is a well-established practice that has full hospitalisation and surgical facilities. Their range of services consists not only of veterinary examinations. They are happy to advise clients on any questions they may have on the best practice of keeping, caring for, and feeding animals. Their facilities include Operating Theatre, X-Ray, In-house Laboratory, and Dentistry. This is a three vet practice, which provides the best veterinary care for every animal with a combination of experience and the latest up-to-date veterinary medicine knowledge is offered to all the animals in their care. Emphasis on teamwork is valued here. They also provide nurse services that include:

  • Nutrition and Diet
  • Weight Checks
  • Preventative Dental Care
  • Puppy and Kitten Care
  • Post-Operative Checks
  • Suture Removal
  • Flea Checks
  • Parasite prevention
  • Expressing Anal Glands
  • Microchipping
  • Nail clipping

The Role and Candidate:

Our client is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon that is confident in Consults and Routine Surgeries. The position is full-time where you will be working 4.5 days a week 09:00-19:00 with 1 in 4 Saturdays 08:30-12:00. They will expect that after a period of time you will be comfortable to undertake the sole charge requirements of the role.

You will have excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues. Teamwork is important in this practice and they are looking for someone that works well as part of a team. You will also have excellent customer and patient care skills.

The Remuneration Package:

In return, our client is offering an excellent package that includes:

  • Salary up to £45,000 p/a depends on experience 
  • 28 days annual leave (inc. bank holidays) 
  • £1,000 CPD allowance
  • RCVS fees paid by the practice
