Services/Facilities:They are a two-site practice where both have all the facilities and equipment you would expect in general practice including digital X-rays, digital dental X-rays, tonometer, video otoscope, rigid endoscopy, capnography, multiple multiparameter patient monitoring devices, and ultrasound. They are RCVS PSS accredited to GP status at both sites and an RVN training centre affiliated with Nottingham Trent University.
Team:
They have a fantastic team of RVNs (14 of them) who are highly competent, happy, friendly, and supportive, including certificate holders in Physiotherapy, Dermatology, and ECC.
They have a team of 10.5 vets with certificate holders in Dermatology and internal medicine and other vets in further study in the areas of ECC, internal medicine, and surgery.
Role: They are a busy small animal practice that sees a wide variety of cases, covering all areas of primary care general practice to a high level. Their close-knit and highly collaborative team prides itself on building long-term relationships with its clients and their pets.
Hours:
The hours are approx. 38 hours per week over 4 days, between the hours of 8 am and 7 pm.
Weekends are divided between all team members, currently:
1:8 full weekend (Sat 9 am till 3 pm / Sun 10 am till 12 pm)
1:8 Saturday mornings (9 am till 1 pm).
OOHS: There is no on-call work as this is provided by Vets Now Chesterfield, but they have the facilities to look after inpatients where appropriate. Weekday inpatient care is divided between all team members, currently 1 night per fortnight, and consists of one late-night check (usually 10.30 pm).
Candidate: They are looking for a candidate with ideally greater than 2 years of experience and good surgical skills, who is happy working independently. Most importantly the ideal candidate will become part of their team, working to provide the same atmosphere of support and excellence in clinical standards.
The Package:
Candidates can expect to receive a salary commensurate with experience, within the range of
£45,000-£55,000per year
