Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Darlington

Location: Darlington

Practice: They are a small animal general practice. They have 17 branches made up of 6 operating hubs, 1 hospital, and 10 consulting branches. 

Team: Their main hospital is a gold standard cat-friendly clinic and provides OOH care with a dedicated night team. They have an ophthalmology team, Orthopaedic team, ultrasonography with specialist Sophie Betts NEVI and CT team.

Facilities: Some of their facilities include a brand new, high spec ultrasound scanner, endoscopy, x-ray suite including dental radiography, two theatres, three consult rooms, and segregated dog, cat, and small furry wards.

Role: The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about their work with a desire to offer excellent clinical standards to our expanding client base.

Hours: Full-time, 4-day working week 10 hour days

Weekends: 1 in 3 Saturday and 1 in 15 Sundays

OOHs: They do their own OOH and have dedicated night staff however there will be occasionally 2nd on-call shifts

Skills/Exp: They would ideally like an experienced vet, but they would consider a new graduate. They are an extremely supportive and approachable team, with training to become VetGDP approved underway.
