Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Dorchester, Dorset

Location: Approx. 15 miles outside of Dorchester
Practice Type: Part of a group - They are a friendly small animal practice located on the Jurassic Coast.
Services/Facilities: All their Vets are certificate holders in surgery, ophthalmology, and medicine. They have laparoscopic equipment which they use routinely. They are delighted to now offer keyhole surgery. This causes significantly less morbidity and post-operative pain than traditional techniques, leading to a quicker recovery from the surgery.
Team: They currently have 3 Vets with certificates in Small Animal Surgery, Medicine, and Ophthalmology, 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 2 Receptionists, and 1 Kennel Hand.
Role: They are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full or part-time permanent basis
Hours:
- Full time would be 9 am-6 pm, 4 days a week plus 1 in 4 Saturday mornings 9-12.
- Part-time can be flexible.
OOHS: No nights, ~ 1 in 28 weekends (days only) at the nearby Hospital that provides their OOH cover.
Sole charge: Very minimal other than Saturday mornings.
Skills/Exp: They are open to applications from experienced and new graduate Veterinary Surgeons.
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a (DOE)
