We are working with a popular first opinion practice that is looking for a full or part-time experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client is a well organised, popular first opinion practice with a large following and a varied caseload. Their experienced team is really friendly and supportive, and they currently have two Vets, four Nurses, two Student Nurses, one Animal Care Assistant, four Receptionists, and the Practice Manager.  

Their surgery is modern and fully equipped which includes a theatre, separate animal wards, digital X-ray suite, Ultrasound, Multiparameter, Doppler, Drip pumps, full in-house lab including Blood Machines and Microscope. Their location has great motorway links to the M57 & M62. The practice also benefits from being fully air-conditioned and having unlimited free parking.

The practice holds an ISFM silver standard cat-friendly award, they are accredited as a tier 2 RCVS practice and have the Practice Standards Scheme in place. 

The Role and Candidate:

You will be a competent vet with a growth mindset, with the capability to work sole charge, completing both consults and surgeries daily so all your skills can be fully utilised. Support will be in place to allow you to work up your cases to a gold standard, and they will actively encourage your development in your areas of interest.  

The hours for this permanent are full or part-time and the hours will be 20-37 hours per week to offer a good work-life balance. This will include 1 in 4 weekends, but no OOH. The Practice Manager supports and deals with all aspects of practice life to make your life easier to allow you to be able to work as a vet.
