Permanent Veterinary Surgeon Full or Part-time - Middleton

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join a practice in Middleton, Greater Manchester, on a permanent full or part-time basis.

The Practice:

You will be working alongside a friendly, supportive and experienced team of two vets, two nurses, two student nurses, three client care advisors, and a practice manager. The practice has been open for almost 7 years and they have a large bonded client base which provides a varied caseload for their busy first opinion practice. They carry out both routine and non-routine surgical procedures including orthopaedics and most soft tissue surgery; examples include BOAS, ear ablation, thyroidectomy, reconstructive surgery, anal gland removal, cystotomy, and urethrostomy. They also have a dedicated in-house lab, digital x-ray machine, and ultrasound machine.  They are located in Middleton with great transport links to Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, and Manchester. Heaton Park, Alkrington Nature Reserve, and Middleton shopping centre are just a short drive away.

The Role and Candidate:

Their two vets have many years of experience between them, so they welcome applications from recent graduates and experienced vets alike, but you must have a minimum of one years' experience ideally in both consults and some surgery. Enthusiasm and passion for what you do are essential as well as providing an excellent and comprehensive service to all clients and patients. The role can be either full or part-time 20-40 hours per week with some Saturdays and occasional sole charge.

The Package:

  • Salary up to £70,000 per annum/pro-rata depending on experience
