Permanent Veterinary Surgeon Full or Part-time - Sittingbourne

We are working with a client who is looking for a full or part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join them at their practice in Sittingbourne, Kent, on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

This is a busy first opinion small animal practice based in an up and coming town in Kent, with excellent transport links to London and the south coast, and plenty of open spaces and countryside. Their bright and spacious surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray, ultrasound, in house lab and orthopaedic equipment. You will be working alongside 2 full-time vets and a visiting vet who performs orthopaedic operations along with other interesting surgeries.

The Role and Candidate:

They are looking for someone confident, friendly and enthusiastic with great communication skills. You'll have good general small animal surgical and medical abilities and a desire to learn and improve. They have a varied caseload and you should be flexible and work well under pressure. Animal welfare is important to them, and you should share the same ethos. The role is full or part-time due to flexibility within the team and will include weekends on a 1 in 3 rota basis and no OOHs. Flexible working is readily available with school hours an option. There will be occasional sole charge, but only once you are comfortable with this. This role would suit an experienced vet looking to upskill, or a new challenge, or a recent graduate who is looking for a supportive environment and demonstrates an eagerness to learn. There is also the ability to be consult only if this is preferred.
