Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Jersey, Channel Islands
The Practice:
We're currently working with a long-established practice in Jersey, that is staffed and equipped to meet all Veterinary needs. They pride themselves on providing good old-fashioned personal care and attention, combined with all the latest techniques and knowledge that Veterinary practice has to offer. Each of their 4 branches is staffed by a small team of Vets and Nurses and the continuity of care is a great strength to their practice. They also have several Vets that have special interests and that can combine their talents in appropriate cases to ensure the best possible outcome for your animals. The practice provides a full 24-hour emergency service.
The Role and Candidate:
- Skills/Exp: They need an experienced Veterinary Surgeon (minimum 2 years) as unfortunately, they can’t cater to new graduates.
- Hours: They work an average of 4.5 days a week (dependant on the number of Vets) from 08.30 to 18.00hrs Mon -Fri and 08.30 to 13.00hrs on Saturdays.
- OOHS: Generally one night a week on-call and one-weekend on-call every 7-8 weeks. Additional day off after weekend on call. Bank holidays are equally shared with a day off in lieu.
- Sole Charge: Capable of sole charge with good supporting teams.
- Equipment: Excellent range of equipment including MRI and CT Scanner.
- Duties: Most cases are handled in-house with backup from experienced colleagues. They encourage you to work your way and follow your own cases
The Package:
In return, the practice is offering a competitive salary of between £40,000-£65,000 p/a DOE plus benefits that include:
