Practice Type: Independent - This clinic is RCVS accredited and is a training centre for veterinary students at the University of Surrey.

Services: Every dog and cat in need deserves expert, personalised care and support, and to be loved. When you work for this practice, you understand that better than ever. They’re a passionate, committed, and diverse team of c80 staff and c150 volunteers, here for dogs, cats, and communities in the UK, Afghanistan, and in Georgia. They offer expert

the lives of dogs and cats in need

Facilities: In this modern and well-equipped community vet clinic, they provide a range of free-of-charge

preventative veterinary care treatments to those who live in their five-borough framework and who cannot otherwise

afford them, including annual health checks, neutering, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, dentals, and

advice and support.

Role: They are looking for a qualified vet surgeon, ideally experienced in shelter medicine, but are also open to a new graduate with a keen interest in the charity sector, who shares their compassion and commitment to animal welfare and who is confident in the basics of surgery, medicine, dentistry, and diagnostics.

  • You will be part of an out-of-hours on-call rota for the animals in our care, in the occasional event of an emergency.

Generally, you will:

  • Provide excellent veterinary care to dogs and cats, making sure patients, clients, and colleagues are happy and get what they need
  • Support the operation of an effective and efficient veterinary clinic
  • Support compliance

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • To be a qualified veterinarian with the RCVS
  • Experience working in a small animal practice in the UK
  • A professional, friendly, calm, and caring manner

Salary: The salary on offer is reflective of skills and experience

  • Up to £55,000 (10 yrs + PQE),
  • Up to £48,000 (5-10 yrs PQE),
  • Up to £43,000 (<5 yrs PQE)

Benefits: CPD is funded and encouraged. MRCVS registration fee and VDS membership paid. They offer a caring and supportive team, lots of variety, and the opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of dogs, cats, and pet owners who increasingly rely on them in these very challenging times.
