Facilities: In this modern and well-equipped community vet clinic, they provide a range of free-of-charge
preventative veterinary care treatments to those who live in their five-borough framework and who cannot otherwise
afford them, including annual health checks, neutering, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, dentals, and
advice and support.
Role: They are looking for a qualified vet surgeon, ideally experienced in shelter medicine, but are also open to a new graduate with a keen interest in the charity sector, who shares their compassion and commitment to animal welfare and who is confident in the basics of surgery, medicine, dentistry, and diagnostics.
Hours: Full and part-time applicants will be considered
- Full-time Vet Surgeons work 35 hours a week either 09:00-17:00 or 08:00-16:00, on a monthly rotation of Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday
- You will be part of an out-of-hours on-call rota for the animals in our care, in the occasional event of an emergency.
Generally, you will:
- Provide excellent veterinary care to dogs and cats, making sure patients, clients, and colleagues are happy and get what they need
- Support the operation of an effective and efficient veterinary clinic
- Support compliance
To be successful in this role, you need:
- To be a qualified veterinarian with the RCVS
- Experience working in a small animal practice in the UK
- A professional, friendly, calm, and caring manner
Salary: The salary on offer is reflective of skills and experience
- Up to £55,000 (10 yrs + PQE),
- Up to £48,000 (5-10 yrs PQE),
- Up to £43,000 (<5 yrs PQE)
