Role:This role will involve a mixture of consults and surgical cases and we are happy to tailor the clinical duties depending on your area of interest. You will be working across our 2 sites, which are about 15 minutes apart and both practices are very well equipped for both consulting and operating.
Facilities: You will be working across the 2 sites, which are about 15 minutes apart and both practices are very well equipped for both consulting and operating. They have 4 fully equipped rooms for general consults, a prep room and separate theatre, separate cat and dog wards, and a separate waiting area for feline patients. The facilities offer an extensive array of medical equipment, and they aim to tailor the roles to suit your clinical interests and professional development. The second branch is equipped with two consult rooms, recovery kennels, prep, and a theatre.
Team: The team is composed of 3 full-time Vets, 10 strong RVN teams, 3 ACAs, and 4 SVNs. The clinical team is complimented by a PM as well as a dedicated reception team. The team boasts a wide range of expertise, they have a certificate holder in imaging, as well as a CD that is a member of the faculty of Homeopathy.
Hours: The flexible approach to rota patterns can truly enrich your work-life balance. They know that everyone has demands and priorities outside of their career and they want to make it easy for you to strike the right balance. Whether you need to do the school pick-up, need reduced hours during school holidays, or would simply like a more flexible rota pattern they can fix or flex the patterns to suit you. There are no out-of-hours with this role; the ideal candidate would take a share in the weekend rota which is currently 1 in 5 (9-6 Saturday, 9-12 Sunday).
Applicant Requirements:The successful applicant will be qualified and registered with the RCVS. They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, positive, and organised with good communication skills. You will be a supportive team player with a high standard of patient care, you will also have a client-focused approach. Because they have a stable and experienced team, they are able to provide support for a more newly qualified colleague. Equally, this opportunity could suit an experienced vet looking to work in a first opinion practice with high standards of both patient and customer care.
Salary: A salary of up to £63,000 depending on experience.
