Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Leicester

We are working with a practice based in the Blaby district of Leicestershire that is looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

This surgery has been awarded the highest Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Standard of care – Hospital status (Tier 3). It has its very own dedicated emergency service which is also based at the Hospital. There are separate waiting areas for cats and dogs, as well as a dedicated reception for the referral service. There are 9 consulting rooms, 4 operating theatres, and separate imaging and dental suites. They have all the usual kits including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a range of endoscopes, CT, ASIF and Synthes kits, TPLO/TTA/Tightrope, arthroscopy, and Biomedtrix THR kits.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a full-time permanent role for a Veterinary Surgeon working three or four days per week. Saturdays are on a rota of 1 in 4 mornings and 1 in 16 full Sundays. They have their own dedicated ECC vet & nurse teams, so no night work. The role has a good mix of operating and consulting. You should have a minimum of at least one years’ experience.

You will join a friendly and enthusiastic team of vets (including certificate holders) and nurses (including a surgical diploma holder) as part of a longstanding referral service, backed up by a dedicated primary care team and their own on-site OOH service.
