Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Medway, Kent

Are you looking to join a well-supported practice with the ability to work cases up to a high standard? Would you like to work in the beautiful county of Kent, only a 40-minute train journey from London?

Type: Small Animal

Location: Medway, Kent

Practice: Since starting the business, it has continually grown and is now a group of four small animal practices, all based in Medway Towns.

Team: Currently, they have 8 Vets on the team, 18 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Veterinary Care Assistants (VCAs), and 15 Client Care team members across the group to help meet the needs of our customers. Their teams work across the whole group supporting each other fully. They also have two administrators who take care of some of the finances for the company.

Facilities: The branches all have 2 to 3 consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, prep rooms, and sterile surgical theatres. Each branch also has its own clinical facilities so that they can offer in-house laboratory services and digital x-ray and ultrasound facilities on all sites. They also have endoscopy facilities across the group and their fabulous team of vets has a vast array of special interests from orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery to ophthalmology, dermatology, and complementary therapies

Role: They are looking for a caring and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding vet team. The ideal candidate must have a friendly approach, great communication skills, and the ability to work up cases to a high standard.

Hours:

  • Full-time or part-time role (open to flexible working hours)

  • Saturday only weekend rota with time off in lieu – 9 am-4 pm or 9 am-12.30 pm

  • No out-of-hours (OOH)

Salary: Competitive, of up to £60,000 p/a (DOE)
