Permanent Veterinary Surgeon, Northampton

We are working with an enthusiastic and friendly veterinary team based near Northampton that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis. This is a first opinion mixed practice 80% small 20% large animal but will be happy with applicants from small animal Vets too.

The Practice:

Our clients' are an RCVS accredited Small animal and farm practice, which is an enthusiastic and friendly veterinary team servicing the people and animals based between Northampton and Milton Keynes. They pride themselves on their long-term professional relationships with their clients and animals. They are well equipped with their in-house IDEXX laboratory, Ultrasound, and Digital X-Ray. The Excellent and supportive team of 3 Vets, 5 VN’s, and support staff aim to give the best possible care and attention to their clients and their pets. 

Close to the M1 corridor, but with a rural hinterland.

The Role and Candidate:

Due to the pandemic, our client now has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated small animal or mixed vet to join their friendly, community-based, independent mixed practice. What they value most is their long-term professional relationships with clients and their animals.

The practice is a mix of 80% Small and 20% Large but they are open to applications from 100% small animal Vets as well as mixed Vets.

This is a full-time permanent role where you will be part of a shared rota that will include 1:4 rota for farm work, (if Farm and SA vet) but there is no OOH SA emergency work. The working hours will be Monday - Friday 8.45-18.30 (17.30 finish with covid) with 1:4 Saturday 8.30-12.30. Part-time would also be considered for this role where you will be working 3 days per week.

They are looking for a candidate that has at least 1 year of post-graduate experience, that is comfortable with routine consults and operations.
