Permanent Veterinary Surgeon - Nottingham

Type: Small Animal

Location: Nottingham

Practice Type: Although the practice is part of a group it is a fast-growing, standalone first opinion practice. They pride themselves on providing a good work-life balance, working as a supportive team, and providing outstanding patient care.

Facilities: They have all the usual in-house labs, pharmacies, separate dog and cat wards, and a separate isolation unit. The practice is well maintained spacious and bright.

Team: They have a lovely very supportive team, and utilise their nurses with schedule 3 procedures.

Role: They are in a very unique position where they are able to consider an experienced candidate that can jump right in and bring their wealth of knowledge or a new graduate who is ready to join their first team, where they will be supported by two experienced veterinary surgeons and RVN's. New graduates will be enrolled in the groups new grad scheme for further training and support.

Hours:  Part-time - from 25hrs+ or full-time considered

Weekends: 1 in 2 Saturdays mornings only 9 am -12 pm

OOHS: No OOH or Sunday work

Consults: They work on 20min consultations allowing time to work a case up

Skills/Exp: Open to all levels of experience

Salary: The salary is commensurate with experience and skill set but as a negotiable guide;

  • New graduates: £32,000
  • 1 - 2 years experience: £33,000 - £36,000
  • 2 - 5 years experience: £36,000 - £40,000
  • 5 + years experience: depending on skillset, performance, and non-clinical duties £40,000 - £60,000
